Welcome to UviMate, the ultimate sun safety app designed to coach you about sun protection and awareness in the most advanced way possible, and to help you achieve optimal skin health this summer.

The app keeps you aware of the sun and helps you prevent sunburns by tracking Ultraviolet Radiation, or UV rays, around the world. In addition, the app includes other advanced technological and scientific features skillfully designed by a team of mathematical professionals.

Here’s a sneak peak of some of the many features the app include.

The app has a built in thermometer that gives you a general temperature reading in your specific area, and a UV index forecast calculation that’s based on The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute, KNMI, and the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, NIWA. It presents an accurate 6 hour and 4 hour forecast depending on the device.

In addition, it includes Clear Sky UV Index, which corresponds in real-time with sun-earth distance. It also has an optional feature that can pick up cloud absorption and area reflection factors. How does this advanced UV index function work? The UV index predicts ultraviolet radiation levels on a 1-11+ scale, which in turn, provides a daily forecast of the expected intensity of UV radiation from the sun.

Another unique setting the app entails is a function that lets you choose your skin type, allowing you to get specific feedback on which personal SPF recommendations and skin care solutions that are right for you. The way the app does this is from using the Fitzpatrick phototyping scale, so you can have the best possible UV protection, whenever and where ever.

The app includes alerts such as a reminder to use sunscreen, UV index alerts, and more.

Finally, there is a unique function on the app that has built-in Vitamin D tracking, which is just another health benefit the app features because it helps meet the essential Vitamin D requirements.
